Our story

With over two decades of coaching experience, we came together with a shared vision: to create an academy built on knowledge, passion, and community. Drawing on our years of expertise, we set out to provide high-quality coaching in an environment that supports both personal growth and sporting development.

Since opening our doors just over a year ago, our academy has welcomed more than 100 members. We take pride not only in helping our players progress on the field, but also in fostering a strong, supportive community where every individual feels valued and inspired to reach their potential.

MEET THE COACHES

  • Founder

    Eddie is a Level 3 Badminton England Accredited performance coach. He has 25 years of coaching experience and co-ordinates our junior coaching programme. Aside from coaching, Eddie is a former England international and currently competes for Essex Team 1 and participates in senior gold tournaments on the Badminton England circuit.

    Private Lessons:

    Eddie is available for private coaching throughout the week at EBA. Contact Eddie via email to discuss your requirements, packages, and advice on what lessons to book.

    Restringing:

    Eddie offers a professional re-string service for badminton and tennis rackets. Contact Eddie directly for pricing and personalised advice on what string/ tension would best suit your racket and your game.

  • Founder

    Adam is a level 2 badminton England coach with over 10 years coaching experience. He leads several of our adult and junior squad sessions, and caters to players varying from beginner to advanced playing standards. Adam currently competes in senior bronze tournaments on the Badminton England Circuit and competes for Wanstead Warriors in the Essex League Division 1.

    Private Lessons:

    Adam is available for private coaching for both adults and juniors throughout the week at EBA. Contact Adam via email to discuss your requirements, packages, and advice on what lessons to book.

  • Junior and Adults coach

    Alan is one of our level 1 qualified badminton coaches, with a foundation and experience playing at county level for the Essex team. Alan assists in many of our junior sessions at EBA and has a wealth of experience in coaching beginners through to advanced level juniors and seniors. Alan also plays for Wanstead Warriors in division 1 for the Essex league and competes with the very best on the Badminton England circuit.
