EBA SUMMER CAMP

What to Expect

At Essex Badminton Academy, our Summer Programme is designed to help players of all skill levels improve their game in a fun, energetic, and professional training environment.

Led by Level 3 Badminton Coach Eddie Chow, each session is carefully structured to develop fitness, movement, technique, and overall match performance.

❋ Fitness and conditioning

Players will take part in badminton-focused fitness sessions designed to improve:

  • Speed

  • Agility

  • Endurance

  • Coordination

  • Explosive movement

❋ Technical & Tactical Training

Players will participate in a range of badminton-specific drills focusing on:

  • Shot accuracy

  • Consistency

  • Smash and defence technique

  • Net play

  • Serving and return

  • Singles and doubles tactics

❋ Badminton Footwork Drills

Strong footwork is essential in badminton. Players will work on:

  • Court movement

  • Recovery speed

  • Balance and positioning

  • Multi-directional movement

  • Efficient movement patterns

❋ Electric Shuttle Feeder Training

Players will also have access to electric shuttle feeder sessions, allowing for:

  • High repetition training

  • Faster reactions

  • Improved timing

  • Consistent practice under pressure

❋ Match Play & Game Situations

Throughout the programme, players will apply their training through:

  • Structured games

  • Match scenarios

  • Competitive rallies

  • Tactical decision-making exercises

This helps players transfer their skills into real match situations.

How It Works
  • Browse our upcoming events to find the one that feels right for you. We host events year-round in all different locations and climates.

  • Sign up and pay all required fees to reserve your spot. If plans change, you can cancel up to 14 days before the retreat start to receive a 50% refund.

  • After booking, we'll send you a Welcome Packet with everything you need to know—detailed schedules, packing list recommendations, add-ons to consider, and more.

  • We'd recommend booking your transportation to and from the event as soon as possible, to ensure you can arrive without any complications or delays.
